Account Executive – Banking

We are looking for a competent Account Executive to find business opportunities. You’ll be directly responsible for the growth and expansion of our customer base.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in complex enterprise sales. We expect you to be a reliable professional, able to balance customer orientation and a results-driven approach.

Your overarching goal is to identify opportunities with prospects and new clients and build them into long-term profitable relationships.


Your responsibilities

  • Managing the entire sales cycle from finding a potential client to securing a deal.
  • Unearthing new sales opportunities through networking and turning them into long-term relationships.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the client’s needs and organisation through extensive research and discovery.
  • Present solutions to prospective clients, demonstrating technical expertise.
  • Remain in regular contact with your clients to understand and meet their needs.
  • Negotiate agreements and keep records of sales and data.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the firm to ensure excellence in onboarding and solution delivery.
  • Provide regular market feedback to the product organisation.
  • Support marketing activities for demand and lead generation, including events.

Job requirements

What are your assets

  • Proven experience as an Account Executive, or similar sales role.
  • Good understanding of enterprise SaaS / technology.
  • Experience with selling banking tech / fintech to large financial institutions. An existing network of decision makers in the European banking / financial services industry is considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of market research and enterprise sales processes.
  • Experience using CRM software (ideally HubSpot) and other sales tools.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Organisational and time management skills.
  • Business acumen.
  • Negotiation skills, grit, and clear hunter mentality.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate.
  • Fluency in English. German and other language skills would be considered an advantage.
